My New YOB

I get to drive any of these buses, depending. I don't have enough experience to say which I like better. Short buses are special..they go up and down driveways and can be in tight spots and have but a few students on them at a time. Big buses give me a feeling of empowerment but there may be 70 kids on a bus! I haven't tried the TWEENERS yet. This week I drove 3 different buses..some punch it up Newberry, others rattle like everything is gonna fall off! The thing is, I recognize KIDS..some look just like their parents and when I ask their names, I am correct in my assumption. It's amazing! Some of the little ones I taught music to in church just beam from ear to ear when they board the bus. I am learning to be proficient in all that's needed; it is an awesome responsibility. This week a bus driver hit a deer that jumped in front of the bus; a naked man in a car flashed some kids on a military base and near a junior high some creepy guy was flipping bus drivers off and yelling at kids. Why don't they keep their madness to themselves?

1998 Triumph Thunderbird 900

It will be nicer when I know I can ride it comfortably! Since I've had a 883 Harley Sportster, I figure I could learn to handle this bike!

Preserving your history..

Items from Bro. Gillespie's shadow box on legs! Someone in the family had a motel and that's where the keys came from. There are old-style nails, a metal piece from a garter belt and other oddity and novel nic nacs!

Photo credit goes to Lehua..she takes great interest in collecting stuff!!!Posted by Picasa

I'm adding these to my collection!

shot glasses

Another quarter is over and some of us participated (yet again) in the shot glass exchange. We pull numbers and go around selecting what we like best of the other potter's shot glasses. I have gobs of these and they are on my dresser, each with a pair of earrings! These goblet styled ones are mine, above is John's (he's a bonsai enthusiast, and that really is evident in his body of pottery!
