I inherited DRIVE from my parents. I have learned laughing out loud, loving completely and appreciating a motorcycle ride. From my family I learn unconditional love. Now I learn to carry on. Of little sleep, I feel the need to fill each day with accomplishment. I have a zest for life and a curiosity to know about anything and everything!

new project TWO FER
Found these dorky chairs at St. Vinney's in Port Orchard..and they spoke to me and called my name--2 for $25. About 450 each to upholster professionally..so...pink, pink, you stink..and I found this luscious red stuff at 50% off. Using my son as a consultant, I'm planning on re-doing these! Will keep you posted. They are just the right height for the foot of the bed..and would span a king better than the queen size I own. Oh well, nothing wrong with a few inches of overhang!

After
I've been saying, "it's nearly, it's almost--only a day, only a few hours more..so now I'm trying to put a man in that boat but he's not cooperating. I'm trying to finish the lower right hand corner white water..and THEN it will be done..it has been WAY MORE than I started out to do..so much for simple, not too much work in this project!! Ha! This way you guys can compare the before and after.Cheesecake in jelly jars
I cannot take credit for this one, but from Feb. 13 till the 17th we've had brownie bites for kids, cheesecake for women and this morning I saw fortune cookies dipped in chocolate--all for various activities Kanoe is involved in. Yesterday she was putting designs on t-shirts using the cricut to do stencils, and then bleach pens to bleach out the black dye on t-shirts--for her volleyball team. I donated a black t-shirt of mine--I'm definitely a fan of the team--well, at least, I'm a fan of the coach!

Getting rid of the pink!
A family of sheet rock people have been working at the house for the past couple of weeks. After the guys nail the sheets to the framing, Mai does the tape and mud...she does a really nice job--3 coats with sanding in between--yukh dust!!! She stays late, cleaning up after the guys and when she leaves on sanding days, her black hair is all white!!
